When you’re planning your vacations, occasionally one of the last bits to be recollected is how you’re going to get to the airport. Do you consider taking a coach, train or cab? Usually the simplest way is to drive to the airport and park your car near the airport while you are out of the country. So where can you park? Is it a safe car park? And what kind of car park do you reserve?

There are some essential types of airport parking: Onsite parking, offsite parking and meet and greet / valet parking. Onsite parking is reasonably self informative. You park within the airport allocated areas, and either walk or opt for a brief bus ride to your terminal. This is very handy, also you are close to the airport, and know precisely where your car is going to be left for however long you are away.

Offsite parking involves parking your automobile at a car park usually a couple of miles away from the airport, and having a transfer coach to the terminal. This is much less cost than onsite parking, but of course this can more trouble when trying to acquire you car and looking to get home from the airport, there are cases where you are required to leave your car keys behind for your car to be parked by a car park attendee. Not all holiday goers are comfy with this scenario.

Meet and Greet / Valet parking is becoming popular in recent years, and is an exceedingly common way to park your car at an airport and enjoy your airport lounges access. Basically, you call the organisation before you come to the airport, and are greeted by a chauffeur who will then take your car away. When you get back from your time away, you make a phone call, and they meet you in the arrivals section ready to give your keys back. Very favourable and a marvellous way to get your vacation off to a ideal cheap start, but you’d expect to pay a tidy premium such as for the service.
